The Bar soaps, little brothers of the famous Liquid Soaps, are slightly more moisturising and produce a creamier lather.
They are also slightly less scented (for the 7 scents) than the Liquid Dr Bronner's soaps.
It really is a matter of personal preference if you choose the Liquid or the Solid Bar soaps. They will work the same wonders on your skin and can be use identically.
The Bar soaps are solid but won't soften too quickly either, thanks to the quality of the chosen ingredients, lasting longer for your pleasure.
They come in 8 different scents (well, 7 scents and one unscented, to be perfectly precise), so that they can please the whole family, from Baby to Grand-Pa, and even your beloved pets! Oh, and you can use them for your household cleaning tasks too. What about that?
Have a look at our "How to use" for more details and advice, as some of the uses are more recommended for some scents than others...
Made from plant-base oils and essential oils, all organic and fair-trade certified, the soaps are gentle to the skin, without any synthetic agent or preservative to help get the lovely foam we all like. The preservatives are all natural, E vitamin and citric acid.
Fortified by more than 150 years of family tradition in soap-making and organic fair-trade, the soaps from Dr Bronner's are a gift from Nature.
The Dr Bronner's brand's motto is very simple: Everything that is good for man can be found in Nature.
The objective is to use high-quality raw materials (completely biodegradable), in a responsible and sustainable way, for the Earth and for all the people working for the Brand, at headquarters or further down the line, so that everyone/everything benefits from it. "We are ALL-ONE or none."
Add to it the numerous organic labels they can pride themselves on, the original vintage design, the recycled packaging, how could one resist this lovely bar, right? Or even try resisting...

So, how to use the Pure-Castile Bar soap by Dr Bronner? Well first, keep out of the eyes...!
Sometimes called the "Swiss-army knife" of cleaning - usable for just about any cleaning task, gentle enough for washing body, face or hair, but also powerful enough for tasks like dish-washing, mopping, laundry and even pest control.
Though, different tasks call for different quantities of the Soap.
"Dilute! Dilute! ok!" is the motto for the Liquid soaps. For the Bar soaps, it's a bit different:
either rub the Bar on your wet hands or washcloth to transfer soap onto them/it and lather.
Or grate your Bar to dilute it in water beforehand, depending on the use or result you're looking for.
Have a look for inspiration at all the Personal and Household uses possible with the Liquid soaps, and adapt with your Bar of choice.
A little help doing the maths: knowing that the Liquid Soaps are 61% water, and the Bars only 5%, the equivalence would be the following:
1 cup of Liquid soap would approximately represent 2/3 of a Bar.
Ready? Cut or grate!
